Deskbreeze is a small, simple wind tunnel that fits on every table.
You can illustrate the basic principles of sailing, the physical effects of flying or the currents on car models in schools and educational institutions. You can use Deskbreeze as eye-catcher at a fair or sales booth.
How does Deskbreeze work?
Dry ice sublimates (“evaporates”) in a bowl of warm water. Ventilators pull the thick carbondioxide “fog” through honeycomb cores into the wind tunnel, where the fog forms a nice, linear current. You can put various models (sails, plane wings, cars, propellers airscrews, …) onto a rotating plate and move them in the current. The resulting turbulences become visible, and you can change them by playing around with Deskbreeze.
